Dozens of individuals enjoy the various hiking, paddling or snowshoe Treks every year.
Some are year-round residents of the Highlands, some anticipate seasonally becoming part of our vibrant community. Some Trekkers are well established outdoorsy folks, some are casual Sunday Ramblers or Haliburton Highlands Field Naturalists – some might be complete novices to exploring anywhere, let alone this rugged natural landscape.
Each one has a unique spark of creative energy that could contribute to the future success of the Haliburton Highlands Trekkers.
A little time with others who share a passion to achieve a goal that can make a big difference – sounds easy, fun and rewarding, don’t you think? It doesn’t have to be a big time commitment. You can be a “sweep” on one outing a season, or even just once a year. You could organize refreshments for the Annual Members meeting, or you could help plan the outings schedules by becoming a member of the Management Committee. There are only a handful of meetings a year.
Fill out the Volunteer Contact form, and someone will be happy to help you find the best fit for your time and talents.
– Thanks / the Volunteer Committee.
